Rector of Azerbaijan Technical University Visits BUCT


On September 8, a three-member delegation from Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU), led by Rector Vilayat Valiyev and Vice Rector Fariz Mammadov, paid an official visit to Beijing University of Chemical Technology (BUCT). President Tan Tianwei attended the meeting and delivered remarks.

Tan Tianwei extended a warm welcometo the delegation and provided a detailed overview of the university’s development history, flagship disciplines, and notable achievements. He further expressed his strong commitment to deepening collaboration in areas such as faculty and student exchanges and overseas education programs, emphasizing the importance of jointly exploring new pathways for cultivating high-caliber talent with international perspective and innovative spirit.

Vilayat Valiyev expressed heartfelt appreciation for the warm reception and emphasized AzTUs strong commitment to cooperation with Chinese universities.The delegation was highly impressed by the National Energy R&D Center for Biorefinery, as well asthe State Key Laboratory of Organic-Inorganic Composites. They expressed keen interest in strengtheningacademic collaboration in fields such as environmental science, life sciences, and materials science,warmly welcoming BUCT to explore cooperative education programs at AzTU.

Agreement Signing Ceremony

During the meeting, participants engaged in in-depth discussions on expanding faculty and student exchanges, research collaboration, and cooperative education programs, reaching consensus on future cooperation. In the presence of all attendees, President Tan and Rector Valiyev signed an inter-university Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on behalf of the two universities, laying a solid foundation for further educational and scientific research collaboration.
