On March 6, a delegation of four from the University of Zaragoza, headed by President Jose Antonio Mayoral Murillo and Vice President Francisco Jose Vicente Beltran Lloris, visited BUCT. President Tan Tianwei had a meeting with the delegation, while Vice President Wang Feng chaired the talks.

Tan Tianwei, on behalf of BUCT, extended a warm welcome to the delegation. Mayoral sincerely thanked BUCT for the warm reception. He pointed out that the University of Zaragoza attaches great importance to cooperation with Chinese universities. He believes that there is significant potential for cooperation in many disciplines such as chemistry, chemical engineering, and materials science. And he looks forward to further collaboration on projects such as joint doctoral training and dual master's degrees in the future.

During the meeting, an appointment ceremony was held to officially appoint President Mayoral as a guest professor at BUCT. President Tan Tianwei presented President Mayoral with the letter of appointment, while student representatives presented flowers and affixed the university badge for him.
