In September 2024, Professor Yu Zhongzhen/Zhang Haobin's team from the College of Materials Science and Engineering and the State Key Laboratory of Organic-Inorganic Composites of BUCT published a research paper entitled "Insulating electromagnetic-shielding silicone compound enables direct potting electronics" in Science. The research proposes a theoretical model of insulating electromagnetic shielding structure, which breaks the limitation of the traditional concept that electrical insulating materials are difficult to have high-efficiency electromagnetic shielding performance, and opens up a new route for the design and application of insulating electromagnetic shielding polymer composites.
