The Science and Technology Innovation Forum for Chinese and Foreign Students of BUCT was successfully held

To further cultivate students' academic innovation thought, enhance their enthusiasm towards scientific research, broaden their horizons, promote exchange, foster interdisciplinary integration, and improve the quality of international talent training at our school, our college held the event Embrace Green Innovation, Share the Future of Beijing University of Chemical Technology Chinese and Foreign Students Science and Technology Innovation Forum on the afternoon of June 29, 2024, in Room 101, Stage B, First Teaching Building, Changping Campus. Zhang Bing, the Director of the International Exchange and Cooperation Office of Beijing University of Chemical Technology, Li Qifang, the Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of International Education, Yan Hong, the Vice Dean, Yu Yue, the Vice Dean and the Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, along with representatives of teachers, alumni, and students attended the forum.

First, Li Qifang gave the initial academic report. During his presentation, he provided an in-depth analysis of polymer materials and the latest developments in research in this field. He detailed recent achievements and future development trends, emphasizing the significant role of polymer material research in environmental protection, new energy development, biomedicine, and other areas. Secretary Li encouraged Chinese and foreign students to continue exploring, be courageous in their innovations, and contribute more to scientific and technological progress and social development.

Afterward, Huang Hengshuo, an alumni representative, and ten Chinese and foreign students presented their research. Their presentations covered many cutting-edge fields in science and technology, including information technology, environmental science, and materials engineering. Through detailed data, innovative ideas, and vivid demonstrations, they showcased the broad prospects of Sino-foreign scientific and technological cooperation and ignited the students' enthusiasm for innovation. The students also shared their study abroad experiences and stories from Beijing University of Chemical Technology under the theme Glory of Beijing University of Chemical Technology. They expressed their genuine feelings about studying at the university, their love for Chinese culture, and their deep understanding of the Chinese spirit. The event also recognized outstanding posters, essays, and oral reports presented at the forum.

Next, student representatives from the summer science and innovation camp of King Mongkut's University of Technology in Thailand summarized their scientific research progress and shared their experiences from the summer camp. The conference awarded the summer camp students completion certificates, affirming their efforts and achievements. This event highlighted the positive significance and infinite possibilities of exchanges and interactions between Chinese and foreign students, fostering the collision of ideas.

Zhang Bing congratulated everyone on the successful forum, fully affirming its important role in promoting scientific and technological innovation and international exchanges. He expressed his hope that students would transform their enriching study experiences into motivation for future studies and work.

Looking ahead, the School of International Education will continue to create more platforms for cultural and academic exchanges between Chinese and foreign students, cultivating more talents with international vision and innovative abilities.
