Distinguished faculty members:
Thank you for your support and help in the work of international students coming to BUCT. It is precisely because of your efforts and the support of the relevant departments that our school has made gratifying progress in training foreign students in 2018. In 2018, our school accepted 625 overseas students, 353 of whom were pursuing academic degrees. Four scholarship projects for overseas students were newly granted by the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China and Beijing Municipal Government, and more than 22.69 million yuan was received as the funds to support the work of international students coming to China. BUCT has passed the quality certification of overseas students in China and become the third batch of Pilot Universities for quality certification of overseas students in China. It has continued to strengthen the all-English teaching disciplines and all-English elite curriculums. The scale and quality of curriculum construction have reached a new record. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all the faculty members in the School of International Education.
The education of international students in China is an important part of the opening up of national education, and it is one of the important indicators of the evaluation of internationalization development and the disciplinary evaluation system of the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China. Meanwhile, it is also one of the important measures for our country to implement the Chinese dream, and promote the Belt and Road Initiative and the development of humanist communication system at home and abroad.
Our school will further expand the scale of foreign students coming and insist on improving quality, increasing efficiency and connotative development. In 2019, the enrollment of foreign students in our university will be started soon.
